I studied Art at college and had intended to pursue a degree in Art, but did a U-turn and opted for Maths instead! However, I have still kept up with my art and have developed my own style, though experimentation and workshops. I’m a traditional artist, preferring pastels, pencil and pens, although sometimes I decide a piece needs a different medium and might dabble in paints or charcoals. I draw and paint images which I find pleasing and particularly like those with interesting detail or clever use of light or tone. I love drawing people’s pets – it is a privilege to be trusted to immortalize a beloved member of the family and try and capture the essence of them as well as their obvious looks.
